KUCHING: Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd (DLMI) is set to deliver 73 million packs of milk to 77,000 students across Sarawak over a five-year period under the Sarawak School Milk Programme 2025–2029.

The initiative, which is part of DLMI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reflects its ongoing commitment to improve childhood nutrition in the state, especially in rural communities

During a recent visit to SK Beliong, DLMI’s top management led by Managing Director, Veronika Utami, joined hands with educators and schoolchildren to distribute milk as part of the company’s pledge to not only provide nutrition but also show up in person for the communities it serves.

“This programme is more than just logistics. It is a living example of our deep belief that nourishing a generation begins with presence – physically, purposefully and compassionately,” she said.

She noted that DLMI had previously delivered over 228 million packs of milk nationwide from 2011 to 2024, building trust among parents, teachers and policymakers.

“We’re going beyond compliance by fulfilling our responsibility with heart and presence,” she added.

Beyond milk distribution, DLMI is also expanding its ‘Program Murid Angkat’, which supports underperforming students from the B40 income group with academic and personal development aid.

“This is our proactive step to ensure no child is left behind. Every child deserves not only healthy nutrition but a real chance to succeed in school and life,” Utami said.

The programme, first launched in 2024, is part of DLMI’s broader effort to support a healthier, more confident generation of Malaysians by integrating quality dairy nutrition with educational development.

“As a company, we’re not just delivering milk – we are showing up for our communities. We’re helping shape the Malaysia of tomorrow,” she added.

DLMI’s engagement in Sarawak is part of its vision to be a nation-building corporate partner with a long-term commitment to the well-being of future generations.
