KUALA LUMPUR: The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) introduced an alternative channel today to allow the public to lodge complaints regarding misconduct by enforcement personnel through Whatsapp at 019-3555215.
The commission said complainants need only type ADUAN SALAH LAKU followed by the name of the complainant, address/phone number or email for contact purposes, the agency involved in the complaint and the complaint details along with evidence (photo/video/documents).
“The hotline will only receive written complaints and will provide an automatic acknowledgement that the complaint has been received while it is processed further for initial approval before being decided at the commission meeting,” the commission said in a statement.
The hotline’s will operate from 9 am to 5 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
Besides the new hotline, the commission said complaints can still be made through existing channels, including the complaints resolution and investigation management system at the EAIC website, the email aduan@eaic.gov.my or at the EAIC complaints counter and customer service centre at Level G, Menara Usahawan in Putrajaya.
“This new channel will enable the public to lodge their complaints accurately, easily and effectively so that immediate action can be taken,” the commission added. — BERNAMA
