SANTUBONG: Fans of rock music still have a chance to grab early bird tickets for the highly anticipated Rock in the Jungle (RITJ) concert, as the discounted prices have been extended until Dec 22.
According to Nawawi Bujang, director of Authentic Ideas & Event Enterprise and organiser of the event, the early bird tickets, priced at RM188 nett per person per night, have received overwhelming support from rock enthusiasts.
“We have received requests from the public, especially rock music lovers, to extend the early bird prices to another date, which we have now extended to Dec 22.
“To rock music fans, this is your chance to take advantage of the discounted prices,” he said when met at the event’s press conference at Damai Central on Wednesday (Dec 18).
The RITJ event, which is also supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP) and Tourism Malaysia, will be held at the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) grounds on Dec 28 and 29.
The concert, which will start daily from 2pm till 12.30am, features popular rock bands from West Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and local bands.
They include Wings, Candy, XPDC, Jemson and local bands Senseless, BNB, Criss X and JS Boys, while international bands include Sweet Charity (Singapore) and Edane (Indonesia).
Nawawi also said that this will be a good platform for local bands to collaborate with famous bands, to have better exposure and experience.
Meanwhile, apart from the early bird tickets, walk-in tickets are also available, selling at 238 nett per person per day/night, while those who want to purchase for two nights, it is RM350 nett per person.
