KUCHING: The countdown has begun for the Rainforest World Music Festival 2025.
It is set to be even bigger following last year’s record-breaking attendance of 26,000 people.
Early-bird tickets are now available from March 8 until 31.
It offers music enthusiasts, cultural aficionados and eco-conscious travellers the chance to secure their spots for one of the most celebrated events in the region.
This year’s festival, themed ‘Connections: One Earth, One Love’, will bring together 170 performers from 20 countries, promising an extraordinary celebration of music and culture.
Among the headliners are The Earth, Wind & Fire Experience by Al McKay, Otyken from Siberia, Russia, and Sarawak’s own At Adau.
The event is set to take place at the Sarawak Cultural Village from June 20 to 22.
Early-bird tickets are being offered at reduced rates, with an adult one-day pass priced at RM235, a three-day pass at RM635, and a child’s one-day pass available for RM80.
Children under three will be admitted free of charge.
Prices will increase once the early bird period ends, making this the best opportunity for festival-goers to secure their tickets at the lowest rates.
Travelling to the festival has been made more accessible with Malaysia Airlines and Firefly offering discounts of up to 20 per cent on flights to Kuching.
The promotional fares will be available for booking from March 12 to June 22, with a travel period between June 14 and 29.
Malaysia Airlines will operate flights into Kuching from several international locations, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Firefly will offer discounted fares on routes from Subang, Kota Kinabalu and Miri.
With tickets likely to sell out quickly, festival-goers are encouraged to make their bookings early to avoid disappointment.
