KUCHING: A single-storey semi-detached house was completely destroyed in an early morning fire at Lorong Lee Ling 2B1, Jalan Matang-Kampung Paroh, here today.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call at 4:53 am, prompting the deployment of firefighters from the Petra Jaya station.
“Upon arrival, the firefighters found the 30×60 square-foot house engulfed in flames, and believed it to have been 100 per cent destroyed,” said the statement.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire and the estimated losses are still under investigation.
