KUCHING: 38 police orphans and 21 widows yesterday received contributions during the breaking of fast ceremony held at the Masjid Khalid Ibnu Walid located at the General Operations Force (PGA) Brigade headquarters at Jalan Batu Kawah here.

Gracing the event was Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg who represented Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.

Accompanying Johari were the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar and State Police Commissioner, Datuk Mazlan Mansor. Also present were Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP), Dato Abd Aziz Yusof and Minister of Local Government and Housing, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian.
