MUKAH: Education is the key to the future, and with knowledge, all obstacles can be overcome.

Chief Executive Officer of Suara Sarawak (SS) and Sarawak Tribune (ST), Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir, described education as a “passport” that allows individuals to go anywhere.

“To achieve quality education, cooperation from all parties is necessary, especially from parents and schools.

“With the support of all, schools can develop a more conducive environment that ultimately produces excellent students,” he said during his speech at the Excellence Appreciation Ceremony held at Dataran Pededun, Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Tellian, today (Jan 16).

He also emphasised that teachers play a vital role in education, likening them to torches that illuminate the way for students.

“No words can fully describe the enormity of the sacrifices and contributions made by those who bear the title of teacher.

“In today’s challenging world, a teacher’s role extends beyond teaching subjects. They build character and shape identities.

“I deeply appreciate the efforts of teachers who consistently ensure that students receive the best education.

“Teachers are unsung heroes, and students’ success today is undeniable evidence of their dedication,” he said.

Furthermore, Dr Jeniri highlighted the importance of cooperation and mutual respect in achieving success, stating that it cannot be attained in isolation.

“With collaboration, we can build a generation of excellence — a generation that can serve as an exemplary model,” he said.

He also urged all stakeholders to continue supporting educational activities at SK Kampung Tellian, as this is crucial to ensuring the students’ success.

SK Kampung Tellian Headmaster Syazana Abdullah and Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) Chairman Norhayqal Morshidi Abdullah were also present.
