KUCHING: Eighteen aspiring public speakers took their first step towards developing communication and leadership skills at the Toastmasters Speechcraft Workshop here.
The one-day interactive workshop held at the Kuching Community Social Support Centre (CSSC) offered them practical exposure to public speaking in a supportive environment.
Designed as an outreach initiative by Toastmasters International, the programme sought to promote personal growth through structured speaking modules.
“Speechcraft is more than just a workshop — it’s a bridge for the public to discover Toastmasters and kickstart their personal growth journey in a safe and supportive environment. Yes, this marks the first step of many in the participants’ speaking adventures,” explained Division D Director of District 87, Toastmasters International, Dr Lucy Ho.
The workshop featured a series of focused modules led by experienced Toastmasters.
As part of the campaign, all participants received a complimentary six-month Toastmasters membership, which includes the USD 20 new member registration fee and USD 60 semi-annual dues.
