KOTA SAMARAHAN: An elderly man died on the spot after his motorcycle crashed along KM13, Jalan Datuk Mohd Musa here yesterday (Mar 24).
Kota Samarahan police chief Supt Damataries Lautin confirmed that the accident happened at around 6.30 pm.
Investigations found that the victim was riding towards Jalan Stakan from the Summer Shopping Mall, prior to the crash.
“When the victim was turning to the left exit, the victim’s motorcycle veered out of control and crashed to the roadside.
“As a result, the victim, identified as 63-year-old Lo Sing Juk, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics,” he said.
The victim’s body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for a post-mortem.
Damataries said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
