KUCHING: An elderly man was killed in a single-car accident along Jalan Stutong Baru here this morning.
A passenger, his five-year-old granddaughter, came out unhurt.
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said a distress call was received at around 7.30am and rescuers were immediately directed to the scene.
“Upon arrival at the location, a Toyota Alphard was found to have skidded across the road resulting in the driver being pinned inside the car.
“The victim, 64, was successfully extricated, but was confirmed dead by paramedics at the scene,” it said in a report today.
