IPOH: An elderly man was found dead in a house in Ipoh Garden South near here, early today.
Perak Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (Operation) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said a team from the Ipoh Fire and Rescue was sent to the scene after receiving a call at 1.13 am.
“The 68-year-old victim was found lying on a recliner in the bathroom of his house and was confirmed dead by a medical team.
“A friend of the victim realised the victim was locked in the bathroom and suspecting amiss called the 999 emergency line for help,” he said in a statement.
Sabarodzi said the body was then handed over to the police for further action.– BERNAMA
