BETONG: An elderly man was rushed to the hospital after suffering breathing difficulties at a rented house along Jalan Penghulu Biju last night (Sept 8).
The Civil Defence Force (APM) Betong said they received a distress call regarding the incident at around 8 pm before deploying four personnel to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found the man in respiratory distress.
They quickly assessed his vital signs before administering oxygen in a bid to stabilise him.
He was later transported to Betong Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities said the cause of his breathing difficulties remains unknown.
