SIBURAN: An elderly motorcyclist suffered an open wound to his knee after he was hit by a car while refuelling at a petrol station along Jalan Shell Tapah here this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) said it received the emergency call at 9:45 am and dispatched personnel from the Siburan fire station to the scene.
The team arrived five minutes later.
The injured victim was given initial treatment by BOMBA’s Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) personnel before being handed over to a Ministry of Health ambulance for further treatment.
The elderly driver of the car was unhurt.
The operations, involving six firefighters with a Compact Fire Rescue Tender (CFRT) and an EMRS vehicle, concluded at 10:23 am.
