MUKAH: A search and rescue (SAR) operation has been launched to locate an elderly woman who was reported missing from her home in Kampung Bunut.
The victim has been identified as Muhaini Jubaidi, 75.
Based on police information, Muhaini’s sister-in-law came to deliver breakfast around 7 am yesterday (Sept 11) but found her missing.
She was believed to have left the house alone without informing anyone of her whereabouts and has yet to return.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Mukah station were dispatched to the scene following a distress call at 10.05 am today.
At the time of writing, the search is ongoing and the victims remains uaccounted for.
