DALAT: The PETRONAS Empowering Knowledge Programme is an initiative aimed at promoting educational development and empowering communities, particularly in rural areas.

Managing director and chief executive officer of the Malaysia LNG Group of Companies, Mohamed Syazwan Abdullah @ Laga Jenggi, said the programme reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to prioritising human capital development.

“At the same time, we aim to ensure access to quality education for schools in need.

“We also see this programme as a platform to foster collaboration between stakeholders and the community,” he said.

He made these remarks during the PETRONAS Empowering Knowledge: MLNG Bestari Outreach Programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Sungai Kut Tengah, here, today.

Mohamed Syazwan further commented that through this programme, the company has successfully provided educational equipment to help enhance the quality of education in rural areas.

This includes support provided to areas such as Ulu Roban, Tatau, Sebauh, and Betong.

In line with this, Syazwan also shared that nearly RM300,000 worth of assistance in the form of renovation works and educational equipment has been contributed to SK Sungai Kut Tengah and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Poi Yuk.
