MUKAH: A house fire at Kampung Senau Lorong 3 here on Wednesday (Mar 25) destroyed about 90 per cent of two structures, including a single-storey permanent house and a bird house.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received an emergency call at 4.01pm before personnel from the Mukah fire station (BBP Mukah) were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters arrived at 4.33pm and found both structures already heavily engulfed in flames.
The firefighting team deployed a 400-foot hose line with three nozzles and used a relay pumping system, drawing water from a nearby hydrant and fire engine.
The blaze was brought under control within minutes.
The operation ended at 6.50pm after firefighters ensured the area was safe.
No casualties were reported.
