SIBU: A refrigerator, washing machine, and mobile phone are among the attractive prizes awaiting lucky visitors at the 2025 Mooncake Festival Celebration organised by the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bukit Assek Branch on Oct 11 at 6.30pm.
The event, to be held at the parking area in front of the SUPP Bukit Assek Service Centre, Jalan Tong Sang (Lorong 1), is expected to draw around 2,000 people.
SUPP Bukit Assek Branch chairman Datuk Chieng Buong Toon said the lucky draw, featuring six main prizes, will be one of the key highlights of the annual celebration.
“Among the main prizes are a refrigerator, mobile phone, washing machine, microwave oven, and two fans,” he said during a press conference held at the SUPP Bukit Assek Service Centre on Tuesday (Oct 7).
Chieng added that besides the lucky draw, the festival will feature various other exciting activities, including the distribution of 200 red lanterns to children under 12 and snack sets for all guests.
He also reminded attendees that only those physically present on the night of the event and able to show their MyKad will be eligible to claim the lucky draw prizes if selected.
The event, held in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival, aims to strengthen community ties among residents of the Bukit Assek area.
