SIBU: Persatuan Pengamal Digital Multimedia Sibu (PPDMS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fly Zone Enterprise (FZE) to establish cooperation framework in laying the foundation for future joint projects and collaborations.

The MOU signing ceremony was held during PPFMS’s Multimedia Content Creators’ Night held at a prominent hotel here on Friday (Sept 5), witnessed by the Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee.

The MOU was signed by PPFMS president, John Tiong Hua Kiong and FZE by its representative, Chang Jin Chai.

Among others, the MOU is geared towards resource sharing and complementing each other strengths, by combining the PPFMS expertise in digital multimedia with FZE’s capabilities in aerial and flight technology.

Besides that, in capacity building and training, they will be organising workshops and training related to drone operations, aerial filming, or other relevant skills to enhance members’ competitiveness.

At the event’s opening remarks, Tiong said the event was to celebrate the success of the recent National Multimedia and Content Creators Conference 2025.

He thanked both organisations and supported their cross-platform and cross-disciplinary collaboration to advance the local creative ecosystem.

“Through sharing and collaboration, it will elevate Sibu’s creative industry to new heights.

“It is not only a network gathering, but also serves as a precursor to the upcoming 2025 National E-Commerce and Digital Economy Conference on Nov 8-9,” he said.

Tiong also explained that in the future market landscape, e-commerce will need the empowerment of multimedia content creators, and multimedia content creators will need e-commerce platforms to monetise.
