BINTULU: A fire broke out in a factory here this morning.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a call regarding the incident at 9.09 am and dispatched teams from the Kidurong and Bintulu fire stations to the scene.
“A 144×492 square feet permanent structure sustained approximately 60 per cent damage. Medium-density fibreboards and machinery inside the building were also damaged. No casualties were reported,” Bomba said in a statement.
Factory workers on the scene also assisted in the extinguishing operations.
Firefighters successfully brought the fire under control and ensured the area was safe before both teams returned to their respective stations.
