KABONG: Friendly Neighbourhood (KRT) of Kampung Jeriah Sibu delegation yesterday came here to implement the Mesra Muhibah Integrasi Komuniti programme together with the three KRTs of Kabong District.
Officiating at the event was Betong Division Unity Officer Thompson Ted.
According to Thompson, the programme aimed to foster family ties and friendship among KRT members.
“This kind of programme is to create healthy interaction among the members.
“We also hope that such a program will foster a sense of cooperation and concern for the local community.”
Demonstrations on traditional cake making such as ‘penyaram’, ‘suman’ and ‘takir lemak’ were among the activities held.
The event, held at SJKC Chung Hua Kabong, began at 10am and ended at 12pm.
Also present were KRT Tanjung Kembang Padu chairman Alwie Sapali, KRT Kampung Tradisional chairman Penghulu Sani Mohammad, KRT Kampung Hilir chairman Laksamana Bakar and KRT Kampung Jeriah Sibu chairman Hamidah.
