SIBU: Farley Sibu’s 19th Annual Children Colouring Contest recorded remarkable success, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of 1,300 participants from across the region.

The event, held on Sunday at Farley Sibu, Jalan Salim, was a celebration of youthful creativity and community togetherness.

A press statement from Farley Sibu stated that the competition was divided into three age categories, namely Group A (Primary 4-6), Group B (Primary 1-3), and Group C (Kindergarten).

Participants in each category competed for a range of exciting prizes, carefully selected to reward their artistic passion and encourage them to continue exploring their creativity.

All winners were celebrated in a prize-giving ceremony, receiving applause and recognition from the community.

The event started at 8:00 am, with hundreds of families arriving early to support their children.

In addition to the main contest, a variety of engaging side activities and exhibitions were hosted at the Farley Stage.

A fun-filled Q&A session was also held for participants, where children had the opportunity to answer questions and receive exciting gifts.

“Visitors had the chance to explore interactive displays, including a Bomba fire truck, police mobile patrol vehicle, and motorcycle exhibition.

“Alpro Pharmacy Sibu also offered free basic health checks, while the Sibu Division Dental Office provided a mobile dental clinic for attendees.

“To top off the fun, Robin the Clown entertained with his lively performance and free balloon giveaways.

“Children also enjoyed face painting and delicious food sampling stations, all of which contributed to the vibrant and festive atmosphere,” the statement added.

Farley Sibu extended its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, families, sponsors, and staff who contributed to making the event a success.

Through their support and enthusiasm, they brought the spirit of the community to life and made the day truly special.
