KUCHING: Strong public interest in automotive culture was evident as Fast Culture Kuching 2026  recorded an estimated 10,000 visitors to Sarawak Plaza on Saturday (Feb 7).

The full-day programme began early in the morning and ran until almost midnight, reflecting the growing scale and maturity of the event over the years.

This year’s edition attracted not only local automotive enthusiasts but also media representatives and content creators from outside Sarawak, highlighting  the state’s rising profile as a regional automotive and motorsports destination.

Senator Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim said Fast Culture is more than a car showcase or lucky draw event, describing it as a platform that brings together community, creativity, youth talent, supporting industries and tourism.

“The presence of local and international media and content creators demonstrates Sarawak’s potential to position itself as a competitive automotive and motorsports destination in the region,” he said in his statement issued today (Feb 8).

In his capacity as President of the Sarawak Motorsports Association, Ahmad emphasised that events such as Fast Culture provide a positive and safe platform for youth engagement, industry networking and international exposure through a universal language – automotive culture.

He also commended the organisers, sponsors, media partners, volunteers and the wider automotive community for their collective support and commitment in making the event a success.

“Consistent support for homegrown events like this is key to ensuring Sarawak’s automotive scene continues to grow and stands on par with major international events,” he added.

The event concluded with a lucky draw session, with winners receiving prizes amid an enthusiastic crowd, bringing the day-long programme to a successful close.
