KUCHING: A motorcyclist who crashed his bike into a tree at Jalan Pending here was rushed to Sarawak General Hoisptal in an ambulance but died shortly later.
The accident happened around 3.30 am on Saturday. Mohd Rizal bin Giwo, 24, a welder from Mile 9, Jalan Matang here, succumbed to serious head injuries about an hour after arriving at the hospital.
It was later discovered that the victim’s bike was a stolen bike which the owner had reported missing moments earlier. Head of Traffic Investigation and enforcement, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the case and said police are investigating.
