KUCHING: Sometimes, a father’s love is measured not in grand gestures, but in the little things – like making sure his daughter’s dream of breaking fast at her favourite place comes true.
This moment unfolded when a Facebook user, Ib Amanda, shared a conversation with his daughter, Amanda, on Mar 20.
His daughter had her heart set on breaking fast at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), but her father told her that the venue was fully booked and that they could only go on Mar 27.
Still, Amanda insisted—she only wanted to be at BCCK.
In the now-viral exchange, Ib Amanda asked her where else she would like to go, but her answer remained the same.
Touched by their conversation, netizens tagged BCCK in the post, hoping for a small miracle.
And a miracle did happen.
Moved by the father-daughter bond, BCCK responded to the post, stating their staff would reach out to the father.
The very next day on Mar 21, Amanda’s wish came true – BCCK made room for them to break fast at the venue.

BCCK later also shared the touching moment on Facebook saying that they have witnessed the heartwarming bond between a father and his daughter.
“Despite being fully booked, when we heard that a little girl wished to bersungkei (break fast) only at BCCK, her dad did everything to make it happen.
“A thoughtful tag reached us, and our team couldn’t help but make room, creating a special slot just for this precious duo.
“To Ib Amanda, who made his daughter’s wish a reality, thank you for letting us be part of your beautiful moment,” they said.
They added that moments like these remind them they are not just serving food but also helping create lasting memories.
In response, her father expressed his gratitude to the management of BCCK.
“Alhamdulillah, as people say, sometimes the best things are unplanned… Thank you, BCCK for inviting my daughter, Amanda, to Juh Sungkei at BCCK,” said Ib Amanda.
