KUCHING: Renowned Malaysian actor Abdul Fattah Mohd Amin, better known as Fattah Amin, is ready to assist in elevating Sarawak’s creative industry, particularly in promoting local art products outside of Borneo.

He expressed his admiration and excitement upon seeing Sarawak’s traditional products, many of which are unfamiliar in Malaya.

“These products hold great potential. We could not only explore the existing ones but also promote them outside of Sarawak.

“These are part of Sarawak’s identity, and perhaps through my social media platform, we can collaborate to elevate these local products,” he explained.

He was speaking at a press conference after meeting fans at Juma’ani Pavilion here yesterday (Oct 23).

Fattah also expressed his willingness to collaborate with the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEXS) in the creative media industry, particularly in providing training for the industry.

He added that he had met with Skop Production managing director Datuk Yusof Haslam to discuss ways to help the industry grow faster in Sarawak.

“Perhaps we could establish an agreement to assist, such as bringing students from Sarawak to work with Skop Production to create films.

“As we know, Skop Production is famous for box-office films, so there may be collaboration in the film industry,” he said.

He added that he is open to continuing his collaboration with Juma’ani Pavilion, with initial discussions already taking place between his management and CENTEXS Commercial.

More than 100 fans attended the ‘Meet & Greet’ session to take photos and videos with him.

Also present was CENTEXS Commercial general manager Mohamad Shahren Mohamad Yusri.
