KUCHING: A blend of tradition, artistry, and personal dedication was recently showcased through the hands of Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, who transformed songket fabric into floral arrangements to mark two royal occasions.
The wife of Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, Fauziah dedicated four days to create the intricately handcrafted songket flower arrangement.
Each arrangement took between one to two hours to complete, showcasing her patience, artistic precision and distinctive personal touch.
The specially crafted pieces were prepared as exclusive mementoes to mark the birthday celebration of His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei and the 269th Meeting of the Conference of Rulers.
The floral arrangements, designed using beautiful songket fabric, not only showcase the beauty of songket as a treasured Malay heritage but also reflect Fauziah’s deep appreciation for the aesthetic and symbolic values embedded in each of her creations.
