BINTULU: Wife of the Head of State Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi has extended aid to 2,258 students from underprivileged families and Girl Guide members across 29 primary and secondary schools affected by recent floods.
As the patron of the Sarawak Branch of the Girl Guides Association Malaysia, she distributed the assistance at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bintulu today (Feb 28).
The initiative was a collaboration between the Sarawak Branch of the Girl Guides Association Malaysia and OCI TerraSus Sdn Bhd, which contributed RM100,000 to provide school essentials such as bags, stationery, coloured pencils and lunch boxes.

“This initiative also aims to raise awareness among the public, corporate bodies, and large companies about the importance of assisting flood-affected students in Bintulu,” she said.
Morliah further emphasised the association’s commitment to supporting its members and the wider community during difficult times.
