KUCHING: Representing all public servants in Sarawak, especially federal employees, president of Sarawak Teachers’ Union (STU), Kullin Djayang, expressed heartfelt thanks to the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government for the recent Special Financial Assistance.

The one-off aid, valued at RM700, is highly appreciated by public servants across the state.

Kullin highlighted that this contribution significantly helps to ease the financial burdens faced by many employees.

“This demonstrates that the GPS government, under the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, genuinely cares for all public servants in Sarawak. We deeply value the recognition of our dedication and service,” said Kullin.

He emphasised that this initiative reflects the government’s appreciation of the hard work and commitment shown by public servants throughout Sarawak, reinforcing the importance of valuing civil service contributions.

Kullin, who also serves as chairman of Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (CUEPACS) Sarawak, encouraged public servants to continue serving with diligence, responsibility and integrity, ensuring their roles contribute positively to the development of the state and its communities.

He further stated that as the GPS government continues to grow and achieve higher revenues, the recognition and support for public servants are expected to increase, urging employees to unite in support of the administration.

“Public servants should take pride in their roles and remain committed to delivering high-quality services while maintaining professionalism, integrity and dedication to the betterment of Sarawak’s people,” he said.

“The special financial assistance is a demonstration of the GPS government’s ongoing commitment to valuing public service and officials encourage all recipients to acknowledge the government’s support and continue contributing to the state’s progress.”
