SIBU: A female worker went through a terrifying moment when her right hand got stuck in a mixer machine while working at a commercial centre in Sibujaya here on Friday.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said a rescue team from the Sibujaya station was deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 4.40 pm.
“Upon arrival, the Bomba personnel saw that her right hand was stuck in the mixer machine. Paramedics were also alerted to the scene.
“The rescue team then unplugged the machine and extracted the mixer from the main machine and she was then brought to the hospital together with the mixer,” he said in a statement today (March 4).
At the Sibu Hospital Emergency and Trauma Department, personnel from the Sungai Merah fire station were called in to assist with releasing the patient’s hand from the mixer.
After successfully removing the victim’s hand from the machine, she was handed over to the hospital for further action.
