KABONG: The community hall in Kampung Nyabor was engulfed in flames in the wee hours on Monday (Feb 14).
A spokesman from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department operations centre said the incident happened at 3.40am.
Saratok firemen were despatched to the scene and they managed to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby kindergarten.
The community hall was 70 per cent damaged and no injuries or casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred is still under investigation by the Sarawak Fire Forensic Unit.
