PUSA: The fire victims in Kampung Kalok here can now breathe a sigh of relief after receiving assistance from Saribas assemblyman Datuk Mohamad Razi Sitam.
The donation was handed over by Razi during a brief ceremony held at the village recently.
According to him, the aid aims to alleviate the burden of the victims.
He also mentioned that the victims would be assisted in rebuilding their homes, which were destroyed in the fire.
“I hope the victims’ families remain strong in facing this ordeal, and at the same time, we will also do our best to assist them further.
“Disaster relief should be expedited, as this family has lost their home,” said Razi, who is also the Deputy Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (Community Wellbeing Development).
He expressed his gratitude to non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individuals who had contributed to help lessen the burden on the affected family.
Additionally, the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Pasar Pusa, SUPP Pusa Branch, and the Betong District Council also provided assistance to the fire victims.
Razi also presented aid from the Social Welfare Department (JKM) amounting to RM18,100 to the victims.
