KUCHING: An oil spill was reported along the stretch of road from the traffic lights at Jalan Pelabuhan to the Barrage Bridge here yesterday (Sept 30).
The incident prompted a response from the Tabuan Jaya Fire and Rescue Station after receiving an emergency call at 12.52 pm.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said the operations response team (PKO) used sawdust to clean the affected area to prevent accidents.
Once the road was confirmed safe, the team returned to the station.
