KUCHING: A driver of a Perodua Viva suffered facial injuries and a thigh fracture when his car skidded off Demak Laut Road and rammed into a tree.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) responded to a distress call at 7.34 am today and dispatched a rescue team from Petra Jaya to the scene.
Upon arrival, the firemen found a male victim trapped inside the vehicle. Specialised Road Traffic Accident (RTA) equipment had to be used to extricate him.
The victim received initial treatment from the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit before being sent to the hospital.
