KUCHING: Three firefighters from Batu Lintang fire station were called to remove a ring stuck on a man’s ring finger on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old man known only as Roberto went to the Sarawak General Hospital for help to remove the ornament at around 10.30pm after he realised he could not remove the ring from his finger that had somehow swollen up.
When medical personnel failed to remove the ring, it prompted them to call up the firemen for help at about 10.38pm.
It took the firefighters 20 minutes to cut off the ring from the man’s ring finger on the left hand using their tools.
The operation ended at 11.16pm.
