BINTULU: Firefighters were called to help carry the body of a man weighing more than 200kg from the first floor of a house here last night (July 17).
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received an emergency call at 9.46 pm.
Upon arriving at the house, firefighters found that the 42-year-old man had been pronounced dead by a medical team at the scene.
“The victim’s father told firefighters that the deceased weighed more than 200kg.
“Firefighters then carried the body downstairs before handing it over to Health Ministry personnel for further action,” said a Bomba spokesperson.
The operation ended at 10.18 pm.
Nine firefighters from the Bintulu Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by a fire engine and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle, were deployed to the scene.
