
TAWAU: An 11-year-old boy faced 20 minutes of anxiety when his foot became stuck between the sewage pipe and the wall on the fourth floor of the Sri Titingan Flats here, this morning.
Tawau Fire and Rescue Station chief, Sharudy Delamin said the boy was playing with his friends when the incident place at 8.30 am.
He said eight firemen and two fire engines were rushed to the scene when they received a call on the incident at 8.38 am.
‘’We found the boy’s foot was stuck between a sewage pipe and the wall of the flats on the fourth floor. The firemen used a hydraulic equipment to prise the pipe from the wall and were able to pull out the boy’s foot,’’ he said when contacted.
The boy was not seriously injured and was taken to a nearby clinic for treatment and the operation was concluded at 8.52 am, he said. – Bernama
