MUKAH: A fisherman was detained by police after he was found in possession of 20 packets of crystalline substance believed to be Syabu last Sunday.
District Police chief, DSP Jimmy Panyau said the 48-year-old was picked up at a house in Kampung Penakub Ulu.
“The suspect tested positive for drugs. The estimated weight of the drugs is 5.42 grammes and its estimated street value is RM1,200,” he said.
The suspect has been detained at the district police headquarters to facilitate investigation under Section 39A(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952.
