LAWAS: Fishermen here have received vital fishing equipment, including boats and engines, through the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA) under the Regional Corridor Development Authority (Recoda).
This is to provide the fishermen with essential tools to generate income and enhance their livelihoods.
The Socioeconomic Development Unit of Recoda held a handover ceremony for Phase 1 of the Inisiatif Pendapatan Rakyat – Basmi Miskin Tegar (IPR-BMT) today (Feb 19).
This initiative shows Recoda’s commitment to helping rural and coastal communities like Lawas become more independent through economic empowerment and sustainable development.
By providing them with essential resources, IPR-BMT is strengthening the local economy and creating better opportunities for the future.
The event was graced by NRDA regional director Datuk Ubaidillah Abdul Latip, Limbang Division deputy Resident Marie Rozita Kulai, and Lawas PNK manager Basran Sakmad.
