SARATOK: A family of five sustained serious injuries after their car skidded and crashed into a drain wall near Kilang Melupak Kaki Wong housing today (Feb 9).
Firefighters from Saratok station rushed to the scene, about 13km away, after receiving an emergency call at 5.58 am.
Upon arrival, they found a wrecked Perodua Kancil by the roadside and extrication works were conducted to free the victims.
The victims, aged between 25 and 69, sustained severe injuries and were handed over to paramedics for immediate transport to the hospital.
However, the severity of their injuries was not immediately known.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 8am.
