NANJING: Five people were killed after a bridge under construction collapsed Monday afternoon in Yancheng City, east China’s Jiangsu Province, local authorities said early Tuesday.
An initial report said two people were killed and three others were missing. The bodies of the three missing people have since been recovered, bringing the death toll to five.
The accident occurred at 5.46 pm on Monday. Search and rescue work has mostly concluded. – BERNAMA-XINHUA
