SIBURAN: Four adults, including two senior citizens, sought assistance after flash floods inundated a house in Kampung Batu Gong along Jalan Kuching-Serian early this morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a call at 5.50am and personnel from the Siburan station arrived at the scene at about 6.02am.

Upon arrival, firefighters found low-lying areas submerged with water levels reaching approximately 0.3 metres.

The occupants of the affected house at No. 44 requested to be relocated to a temporary evacuation centre (PPS).

Six firefighters, led by PBK I Edi Guang, were deployed to monitor the situation and assist with evacuation efforts.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has been informed for further action.
