BINTULU: Flood conditions in Sarawak had fully stabilised as of 6.30 pm today (Jan 17), with all temporary evacuation centres (PPS) closed and no evacuees remaining.

According to the Sarawak Civil Defence Force (APM), the last active PPS at Balai Raya Sebauh was closed at 4.00 pm after floodwaters receded, and affected residents were allowed to return home safely.

APM reported that there were zero active PPS, zero displaced households and zero victims statewide at the time of reporting, indicating a complete recovery from the recent flood situation in the Bintulu division.

The agency said monitoring would continue, particularly in flood-prone areas, as a precaution amid ongoing monsoon conditions.
