BINTANGOR: Three homes in Rumah (Rh) Nanga Serau, Julau, were cut off from road access due to flooding today.

Bintangor Fire and Rescue Station chief Mahmudin Narudin said the affected residences were Rh Panjang Ugap, Rh Engkiau, and Rh Steven.

“The area was flooded, with water levels reaching an estimated two metres in the deeper parts.

“However, no residents were affected by the rising water,” he said in a statement today.

Mahmudin said that, so far, his team had not received any calls for evacuations.

He also noted that weather conditions were good during their patrol.

He added that residents needing to go to their farms or travel for other purposes would wade through the floodwaters to leave the area.
