MIRI: Several parts of Long Bemang village in Telang Usan remain inundated following days of continuous heavy rainfall coupled with high river tides.
A monitoring by the Civil Defence Force (APM) this morning confirmed flood levels reaching up to 1.6 feet in some locations.
The village, its health clinic and local school have all been affected.
According to officials, floodwaters measured 1.5 feet in Kampung Long Bemang, 1.2 feet at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Long Bemang, and 1.6 feet at the Long Bemang Health Clinic.
Despite the situation, the clinic continues to operate as usual while the school is closed due to the term break.

The flooding began after heavy rains started on September 13, coinciding with rising river tides that pushed water levels into residential and public areas.
Electricity supply to the area was shut on September 15 as a safety measure.
Civil Defence personnel, led by Pbt. (PA) Noor Melati Uma, conducted site inspections with volunteers this morning.
They reported that the situation remains under control with light rain still persisting and no immediate need for evacuation.
No temporary relief centres have been opened, but villagers have been advised to stay alert to rising waters and move to safety if conditions worsen.
For now, the situation is described as stable and safe, as authorities continue to monitor developments closely.
