SERIAN: A motorcyclist, believed to be a foreign national, fled the scene after being involved in a collision with a Perodua Axia along Jalan Kuching-Serian yesterday (Sept 7).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they were alerted to the incident at around 5.20 pm and dispatched its personnel from Serian station to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team found that the motorcyclist had already left the scene and was believed to be a foreigner.
No serious injuries were reported in the accident.
As no rescue operation was required, firefighters only conducted safety monitoring before leaving the area.
The matter has since been referred to the relevant authorities for further action, including efforts to identify and locate the motorcyclist.
