SARIKEI: A former Julau member of Parliament was involved in a heated argument with a PKR member over the Sarikei division election.
The latter lodged a police report over the incident. Sarikei OCPD DSP Awang Arfian Awang Bujang confirmed receiving a report. He said the 72-year-old politician had an argument with a 61-year old party member.
“The complainant feared for his safety and made a police report,” he said.
Police are investigating the case under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal investigation.
