SIMANGGANG: The approval letters of industrial lots for four companies at Sri Aman Industrial Park is set to stimulate economic development in Sri Aman Division.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the participation of these companies is expected to further stimulate local economic activities, create new job opportunities, and attract more investments to Sri Aman.
He said the development of the industrial park will also strengthen strategic cooperation between the private sector and the government, thereby enhancing Sri Aman’s competitiveness as an industrial hub in Sarawak.
“The participation of these companies will enable the Sri Aman Industrial Park to become a catalyst for new job markets, while also boosting the local economy and opening up opportunities for strategic collaboration between the private sector and the government.
“Besides that, the development of this industrial park is also hoped to attract more investors, thereby making Sri Aman one of the competitive industrial hubs in Sarawak.”
He said this when officiating the handover ceremony of industrial lot approval letters at the meeting room of the Sri Aman Division Resident’s Office on Tuesday (June 30).
The four companies that received the approval letters were TYM Construction Sdn Bhd, Jerok Oil Palm Sdn Bhd, Hiong Huat Metal & Aluminium Sdn Bhd and Kii Kuang Sing Development Sdn Bhd.
TYM Construction Sdn Bhd, Jerok Oil Palm Sdn Bhd and Hiong Huat Metal & Aluminium Sdn Bhd each received approval for 0.3-acre lots, represented by their respective directors Tay Yaw Ming, Su Teng Eik and Ngei Hwa Siing.
Meanwhile, Kii Kuang Sing Development Sdn Bhd, represented by Dennis Kii, received approval for a 0.39-acre lot.
For record, the Sarawak government approved an allocation of RM32.7 million in 2018 for the development of the Sri Aman Industrial Park in the Sri Aman parliamentary area.
Phase One of the project, developed on a 5.5-hectare site, was completed on March 25, 2020, at a cost of RM5.13 million, while Phase Two worth RM8.64 million involved the construction of 21 business lots.
