KUCHING: Four individuals escaped death in a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Semariang, Petra Jaya, here last night, which resulted in a sports utility vehicle (SUV) overturning onto the pavement.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the 9.19 pm incident involved a Perodua Bezza and a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
Despite the Pajero Sport flipping onto its roof due to the impact, the driver escaped uninjured.
“The Bezza’s driver sustained an open wound and received immediate treatment from Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) personnel at the scene.
“His wife and child, who were also in the car, were unharmed,” the statement said today.
It added that all the three people inside the Bezza were later taken to hospital for further observation.
The firefighters cleared debris from the road before concluding the operation at 9.57 pm.
