Limbang immigration officers arrest Indonesians during inspection on Sunday

LIMBANG: The Sarawak Immigration Department arrested four Indonesians for various offenses during routine inspections last Sunday.

Following complaints, the Limbang Immigration Enforcement Unit conducted inspections at a commercial premises’ five-foot way and a snooker centre in town.

Four foreign men were detained for offenses including overstaying and lacking valid permits or passes to remain in Malaysia.

The case is being investigated under Sections 6(1)(C) and 15(1)(C) of the Immigration Act 1959/63.

Subsequently, the department urged employers and foreign workers to secure a valid work pass in accordance with Malaysian law.

The public is encouraged to report any undocumented migrants in their areas through online channels or directly to the nearest Immigration Enforcement Office.
