Four injured as car skids to roadside

KUCHING: Four individuals were injured after the car they were in skidded and crashed into the roadside along Jalan Canna, Tabuan Jaya last night (Jun 3).

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call at 8.49 pm and dispatched firefighters from Tabuan Jaya station to the scene.

Upon arrival, the rescuers found an injured passenger still in the front seat and assisted him out of the vehicle as he was not trapped.

The 39-year-old was handed over to the emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) unit before being transported to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the other three victims had already been rescued from the vehicle and handed over to paramedics before firefighters arrived at the scene.

The extent of their injuries remains unknown.

After ensuring the situation was safe for other motorists, the team wrapped up the operation at 9.35 pm.
